Changes to Fellowship Requirements in 2022

Published on July 22, 2020

As of January 2022, all doctors wanting to become a Fellow with either RACGP or ACRRM will be required to be a part of an approved training program, not just Permanent Residents or Australian Citizens.

The approved training programs for RACGP are AGPT, RVTS and PEP, whilst the approved programs for ACRRM are AGPT, RVTS and ACRRM Independent Pathway.

If you will be on MDRAP, SAPP or RLRP past 2022 and have not sat your fellowship exams yet you will still have to join one of the above approved training programs to be eligible to sit for your exams. Likewise, if you have already sat one or two of the fellowship exams before 2022 but could not sit the other exams until after 2022, you will be required to join a training program, but for a shorter placement period.
