Here at People Medical Consulting we like spreading what we know and giving you a clear pathway to your career. We’re answering a different question each week based on queries raised via our Facebook & Instagram profiles.
Does the practice need anything different if I apply for Limited AHPRA Registration via the Postgraduate Training and Supervised Practice pathway?
No, the practice does not need anything different for you to apply for Limited Registration via the Postgraduate Training and Supervised Practice pathway.
An Area of Need Declaration is not required as part of your application.
You will need to provide AHPRA with a Training Plan. This plan should outline the CPD and other training activities you will undergo during the first 12 months of your registration. The activities mentioned need to relate to closing any gaps in your clinical knowledge, the study you will complete while preparing to sit for your AMC clinical, and at what point you will apply for the exam.
Choosing the type of registration pathway will come down to what application is the best for your circumstances. Be sure the practice can offer you the appropriate level of supervision, as the supervision requirements remain the same for Limited AHPRA registration, regardless of the pathway you are on.
Are you confused about the requirements for AHPRA registration under ALPS-30 Postgraduate Training and Supervised Practice, or would like guidance on preparing your applications? Our team provide education as well as assistance in applying for the individual applications. Please let us know if we can help.
