ACRRM

RVTS Applications Open For 2020 –

ACRRM have announced that applications for round one of the 2020 Remote Vocational Training Scheme (RVTS) are currently open. RVTS offers doctors working in remote and rural locations with alternative pathway to Fellowship training with ACRRM. Note: Applications will close on 12th July 2019.

New Resources Available For The Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) –

The Department of Human Services (DHS) has announced that there are new resources now available for vaccination providers on their website. These include, online training modules, guidance on accessing a patient Immunisation Record for printing and more…

THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

The Practice Incentive Program Quality Improvement (PIP QI)is set to be implemented on 1 August –

The Federal Government’s $200 million program, Practice Incentive Program Quality Improvement (PIP QI) Incentive is set to be implemented on the 1st August. The program will pay general practices that participate in quality improvement activities and share data from accredited practices with local Primary Health Networks (PHNs)

MBS ONLINE

The Federal Government’s planned increase to Medicare rebates came into effect on 1st July –

In the 2017-18 Budget the Government announced it would commence the phased re-introduction of indexation of Medicare Benefits Schedule rebates.

 

Indexation commenced on 1 July 2017 with increases to GP bulk-billing incentives and on 1 July 2018 for standard GP consultations and specialist attendances. Specialist procedures, allied health services and all other GP services were indexed from 1 July 2019.
