Changes to mesalazine from 1 October 2019–

Telehealth item numbers available to GPs providing services to MMM 6 & 7 patients

From November 1, both VR and Non-VR GPs will have access to Medicare item numbers for patients who are located in a rural and remote location.

The rebate has been increased for heart health assessments

Heart disease and stroke make up 15% of Australia’s health burden, incentivising the Australian government to increase the rebate from 85% to 100%.
