Updated Guidelines for Sexual Boundaries In The Doctor-Patient Relationship –
As of the 1st of December, new guidelines for Sexual boundaries in the doctor-patient relationship take effect. A reminder that the updated guidelines apply to all registered medical practitioners in Australia and define the standards of ethical and professional conduct expected of doctors by the Board, their peers and the community.

Christmas Closure for AHPRA Offices 2018 –
Over the holiday season, AHPRA offices in each state and territory will be closed on all standard public holidays – 26th & 27th December and the 1st of January 2019. However, AHPRA confirm there may still be skeleton staff available depending on office locations.
Christmas Closure for Assessment Services 2018 –
A reminder that AMC Assessment Services such as Verification Services, MCQ Examinations and Clinical Examinations will be closed as of 12pm Monday 24th of December 2018 until Monday 7th of January 2019.
Clinical Examination Dates –
Examination dates are released monthly. The March 2019 examination dates will be released for scheduling at 10.00am AEDT on Wednesday, 5 December 2018. Applications for these examinations can only be made through your candidate portal.
The department of health (including Medicare) will be closed across Australia between the 25st of December 2018 and the 27th of December 2018, as well as the 1st of January 2019. However, Medicare confirm there may still be skeleton staff available depending on locations.
Offices across Australia will be closed from the 21st of December 2018 until Monday the 7th of January 2019.
